In this course students will draw upon Traditional Sacred Lotus Motifs that are used to adorn Temples, doors and windows all over the island. Both geometric and free form elements will be taught throughout this course.

Draw the stunning Umayyad torus khirbat-mosaic patterns from Hisham’s palace in Jericho, Palestine.The mosaic floor in the Great Bath 825m², which is the largest in the Middle East.
In this two part series we will draw two geometric patterns featured on the South facing facade of the Catedral de Santa María de la Sede de Sevilla named The "Puerta del Príncipe" ~ The Door Of The Prince ~
Taking inspiration from the Red Sand Stone Darwaza-L-Rauz ( The great gate to the Taj ) Combining geometric and biomorphic elements with a strong focus on Pietra Dura Floral Motifs and a common zigzag pattern found throughout Mughal Architecture.

Draw The Thousand Petalled Lotus and Padma Mandala accompanied by a presentation sharing research of padma around the world.
